The jealous ex-boyfriend quickly ended up in jail for assaulting the alpha during her night patrol. Elrad admitted he didn’t feel sorry in the slightest, in fact, he felt content the things ended this way. Akhifer patted him on the imaginary shoulder.
The two became close friends, with Elrad supporting Akhifer in her decisions, and the Captain helping the Medic every now and then with his errands. Sometimes the yellow she-carp would come to her friend to ask for advice, since he was one of the very few she trusted with that. One could say that he became her personal alpha’s advisor, although neither would admit it, and Elrad’s official qualification didn’t change. For a brief moment, Akhifer even managed to grow some feelings for Elrad, but she quickly dismissed them, as she had someone else in mind at this point.
Even though males were still annoying for Fer, she learned to accept their company and, eventually, enjoy it. At least in some cases. Some were still unbearable, and she would rather slap them across the face with a pine cone than spent time with them. If only she wasn’t an alpha… A captain would be allowed to be aggressive from time to time.
